IC cards can be used for identification, ticketing, and electronic wallets. However, contact-based IC card electronic door locks are gradually being phased out due to inconvenient operation (long operation time) and poor environmental adaptability, especially in public and semi-public environments such as attendance systems, dining services, public transportation systems, and parking lots. Contactless IC card electronic door locks are a newly developed type of electronic door lock. Due to their high reliability, high security, contactless operation, quick and convenient operation, and long service life, they have become the replacement product for contact-based IC card electronic door locks.
AI smart locks have become a new growth engine for smart locks. They integrate video cameras and AI algorithms into traditional locks, enabling multimodal unlocking and adding proactive security functions-such as human detection, abnormal loitering alarms, package monitoring, and child departure reminders. Some high-end products also incorporate large AI models, supporting scenario-based services such as voice interaction, weather reminders, and homecoming greetings. By 2025, AI smart locks accounted for 11.2% of the traditional e-commerce retail market, and will further evolve into "proactive care" home smart interaction centers in the future.
