Euro Profile Single Cylinder

This may sound similar to a half cylinder, but it is different. A half cylinder is very short, while a single cylinder has a full-length body. One side has a keyhole, and the other side has a flat cover. The cover is thicker than that of a half cylinder.

This euro profile single cylinder is designed for doors where locking from the inside is not allowed. For example, in a manager's office, the manager may not want employees locking the door from the inside, but still needs to lock it with a key when leaving at night. It is also suitable for electrical rooms, where no one should be able to lock themselves inside, while the door still remains secure from the outside.

The available sizes are 35/10mm and 40/10mm. The outside section is 35mm or 40mm, while the inside section is only 10mm. That 10mm section is simply the flat cover. The cover thickness is 2.5mm or more, which is 30% thicker than a standard cover plate. We made it thicker because someone might try to damage the cover from the inside.

You can choose between 5-pin and 6-pin configurations. The B-grade version provides 5 minutes or more of technical opening resistance, while the C-grade version provides 10 minutes or more. The pull resistance is 5,000N or higher, meaning the cylinder cannot easily be pulled out from the outside using pliers.

It is suitable for door thicknesses from 30mm to 45mm. If your door is thicker than 45mm, the 10mm inside section may be too short. In that case, you may need a custom size such as 50/10mm or 55/10mm. We can produce those sizes. The MOQ for custom sizes is 500 units.

We added reinforcing ribs to the inside of the flat cover to improve strength. If someone strikes the cover with a hammer, it will not dent easily. We developed this improvement based on customer feedback. One customer reported that a worker inside an electrical room kicked the cover, causing it to bend and the lock to stop working. After adding the reinforcing ribs, the problem was solved.

This euro profile single cylinder is made from 3# national-standard zinc alloy, or 57% brass if preferred. It comes with 2 keys as standard. Available finishes include chrome and nickel. This lock is suitable for offices, electrical rooms, data closets, school classrooms, and public-area doors.
