Commercial Door Closer with Hold Open

A cleaner pushing a cart, furniture being moved, or hot summer days requiring airflow-these are situations where a self-closing door becomes inconvenient. In such cases, a door closer with a hold-open function is required.

This commercial door closer with hold open features a 90° hold-open position. When the door is opened to approximately 90 degrees, a clear click is felt. The door remains in the open position and will not close automatically. To release the hold-open function, the door is pushed slightly beyond 90°, after which the closer resumes slow automatic closing.

The hold-open accuracy is controlled within 90° ±2°. Standard products typically vary between 85° and 95°, resulting in inconsistent positioning. This model uses a precision cam mechanism, ensuring a deviation within ±2°.

The closing speed from 90° to 15° is adjustable between 3–8 seconds. The latching speed (final 15°) is independently adjustable between 0.5–1.5 seconds. Both settings can be adjusted separately, offering a wider adjustment range than the industry standard.

Size options include Size 3 and Size 4. Size 3 is suitable for doors weighing 65–85kg (standard wooden doors). Size 4 is suitable for doors weighing 85–120kg, including glass and metal doors.

High-quality imported nitrile rubber seals are used, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +120°C. The hydraulic system uses aviation-grade silicone oil, ensuring stable performance even at -30°C. This commercial door closer with hold open has been tested for 500,000 cycles, exceeding the 300,000-cycle requirement of the national standard for commercial door closers.

No performance degradation was observed during testing.
