Euro Night Latch

It is rated for 80,000 test cycles. However, we wanted to know its real limit, so we continued testing until 800,000 cycles. The lock was still functioning.

To put this into real-world terms: an office door is opened and closed about 20 times a day, which equals around 7,300 cycles per year. At this rate, this lock could last up to 109 years.

This euro night latch is different from a euro cylinder night latch. That system sells the cylinder and lock body separately. This product is a complete night latch assembly-you get everything in one box, with no need to purchase separate components.

The certifications are the same: EN 1303 for the cylinder and EN 12209 for the lock body. The cylinder size is 40/50mm. The lock body has a 72mm center distance, and the backset ranges from 50mm to 60mm. The bolt is made of stainless steel and includes both a square bolt and a latch bolt. The square bolt measures 15×15mm.

We apply carbonitriding treatment to the internal transmission parts. This may sound technical, but it means the surface hardness reaches HV 650 or higher, compared to around HV 500 for standard quenching. Higher hardness results in longer service life.

Last year, a European hardware distributor tested our euro night latch against a Turkish supplier's product. The Turkish lock failed at 120,000 cycles when the latch spring stopped working. We inspected our lock at 500,000 cycles, and internal wear was less than 0.1mm. After seeing the results, the distributor placed a 20,000-unit order.

The key system uses 5–6 pins and is resistant to drilling, prying, and pulling. The key duplication rate is 0.01% or lower, meaning only one in 10,000 locks may share a key.

Fire rating is optional, up to 1.5 hours (GB 12955), which is required for fire doors.

We support keyed-alike, master-keyed, and grand master-keyed systems. The commercial warranty is 3 years or 500,000 cycles, whichever comes first. This euro night latch is suitable for European residential buildings, offices, five-star hotels, and government projects.
