Anti Snap Door Cylinders

 

A standard lock cylinder can be broken in seconds using a snapping attack.

The method is simple: a screwdriver or similar tool is inserted into the keyway, and force is applied until the cylinder snaps at its weakest point. Once broken, the door can be opened immediately. This is one of the most common forced-entry methods used in Europe.

This anti-snap door cylinders is designed specifically to resist this type of attack.

A 3.0mm reinforced steel bar is integrated into the center of the cylinder, acting as a structural spine. Standard cylinders are hollow and lack internal reinforcement.

The cylinder wall thickness is 2.5mm, exceeding the national standard requirement of 2.0mm. Together, these structural improvements deliver a break resistance of up to 12 kN.

Breaking Resistance Performance

 

12 kN is equivalent to approximately 1.2 tons of force.

In practical terms, a strong adult using a 60cm pry bar can typically generate around 2–3 kN of force. At 12 kN, the cylinder remains intact even under extreme leverage.

We conducted hydraulic press testing to validate performance. A standard cylinder failed at approximately 5 kN. Our anti-snap door cylinders reached 12.8 kN before deformation occurred. The internal steel reinforcement bent slightly, but the cylinder did not fracture.

Security Structure

 

The system uses a 3-point interlocking mechanism between the cylinder, lock body, and bolt assembly.

Even if the front section of the cylinder is forcibly removed, the rear section remains secured within the lock body, preventing the door from being opened.

This design significantly increases resistance against snap, pull, and forced extraction attacks.

Manufacturing and Quality Control

 

This is protected by a utility model patent.

Each production batch undergoes 12 kN load testing prior to shipment. Any batch that does not meet the requirement is rejected and does not leave the factory.

Two material options are available:

  • Zinc alloy (made from national standard Grade 3 zinc alloy, no recycled material)
  • Brass (copper content ≥57%)

Applications

 

Compatible with door thicknesses from 35mm to 55mm and standard Euro-profile cylinders.

Minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 1,000 units. Standard configurations ship within 15 days.
