Magnetic Latch Mortise Lock

A new apartment building with 1,000 doors. If one lock takes 10 minutes to install, that is 10,000 minutes. Almost 167 hours. That is a lot of labor cost.

This magnetic latch mortise lock installs faster. Much faster. A normal mechanical lock needs adjustment. The spring force varies from lock to lock. The latch bolt length varies by 0.5mm. Sometimes the bolt does not line up with the strike plate. You have to loosen the screws. Move the lock a little. Tighten again. Test. Maybe repeat. A good installer takes 8-10 minutes per lock.

A magnetic lock has no spring. The latch bolt is pulled out by a magnet. It does not need to line up perfectly. The magnet pulls the bolt into the strike plate. Even if the hole is 1-2mm off, the bolt still finds it. An installer can put in a magnetic latch mortise lock in 5 minutes. That is 50% faster.

1,000 doors. 5 minutes per lock with magnetic. 8 minutes per lock with mechanical. The difference is 3 minutes per lock. 3,000 minutes total. That is 50 hours of labor. At 30perhour,thatsaves30perhour,thatsaves1,500 just in installation. And you get a better lock.

The side force resistance is 6,000N. A mechanical lock is 3,000N. So magnetic is twice as strong. The handle force is 1.5-2.5N·m. Mechanical is 3-5N·m. So magnetic is 30-50% lighter.

125x22mm or 145x22mm. Fits euro cylinder 35/35 or 40/40mm. Door thickness 35-50mm. This magnetic latch mortise lock comes in two surface finishes. Chrome or matte black.

We test every lock. Magnetic pull force must be 15N or more. We use a force gauge. If the pull force is low, the lock does not ship. The assembly gap is 0.25mm or less. The warranty is 5 years on the magnetic function.
